Eolos Floating joins hands with OceanPact for offshore wind business in Brazil

The Spanish firm Eolos Floating Lidar Solutions has entered into a partnership with Brazilian company OceanPact to work together in the offshore wind market in Brazil.

The duo has already signed an agreement for the same.

As per the agreement, "Eolos FLS200 technology and digital services will be combined with OceanPact's environmental marine services expertise."

According to Eolos, it will provide technology and digital data services to offshore wind developers. Meanwhile, OceanPact will be responsible for building the necessary infrastructures.

Eolos business developer Sergi Roma commented, “OceanPact was an obvious choice for us. Their competence with oceanographic surveys, strong technical capabilities and proven appetite for being part of the ambitious offshore wind development plans in Brazil made them an ideal partner candidate.”

Similarly, Eolos chief executive Rajai Aghabi remarked, “Eolos has been successful in a number of diverse markets as part of a targeted campaign to extend our market coverage to bring opportunities for floating lidar campaigns and signalling our collaboration with such strong stakeholder in Brazil demonstrates our ambition to take-on wind resource campaigns in this continental country.”
