Sonnedix to acquire Sun Power Energy in Poland




An independent energy developer Sonnedix is all set to acquire Sun Power Energy.


Sun Power is a Polish solar project developer based in Poland.


According to a statement issued by Sonnedix, Sun Power Energy has a PV project pipeline in Poland that exceeds 1GW.


In recent months, Poland is the second new market joined by Sonnedix followed by Germany.


According to the company, Sonnedix is now present in six European countries as well as in Chile, the United States and Japan.


“The acquisition of the Sun Power Energy platform aligns perfectly with our growth strategy for Europe; we are gaining an excellent local team and an impressive pipeline as a catalyst for our ambitious growth strategy for Poland,” Axel Thiemann, CEO of Sonnedix, commented.

The company informed that the latest acquisition brings Sonnedix's total capacity to more than 6.5GW worldwide. It includes both operating assets and projects under development and construction.


The company aims to explore new growth opportunities through the acquisition of new projects.
