Spanish oil and gas firm Cepsa is all set to develop a 7000MW solar and wind project pipeline.

It has been informed that out of the total, 1500MW already has a grid connection.

Besides, Cepsa is also considering leading green hydrogen in Spain and Portugal. A local report mentioned, "It proposes doing this with a production capacity equivalent to 2000MW and biofuels production of 2.5 million tonnes by 2030."

The company plans to create a greener and sustainable economy by developing decarbonization solutions for the energy needs.

Cespa Chief executive Maarten Wetselaar was quoted in a report, "At Cepsa, we are embarking on an ambitious journey to transform our company and be a key driver and enabler of the energy transition."

Wetselaar further commented, "Green molecules are essential for the decarbonization of complex sectors such as heavy transport, aviation and maritime traffic and Cepsa has a competitive advantage thanks to its many years of experience in the production and handling of this energy source."
