Vestas has secured a 100 MW order in Vietnam for a wind energy project.
According to the company, the order includes "supply, supervision of the installation, and commissioning of the wind turbines." The project is located near the shorelines of the Mekong Delta.
It has been informed that the wind farm includes "24 Vestas V150-4.2 MW wind turbines with a number delivered in 4 MW operating mode, all with a hub height of 105 m," a report mentioned.
Vestas is known for its capacity to design and formulate specific solutions to cater to the complex environment at near shore conditions. It has been said that the latest order also demonstrates the same ability at the site.
Meanwhile, the project agreement also includes a "15-year active output management 4000 (AOM 4000) service agreement for the wind farm, to ensure optimised performance and long-term business case certainty for the customer," a report mentioned.
The company has planned the commissioning of the wind farm for 4Q22.
Vestas’ total capacity of onshore wind turbines will cross 1.6 GW in Vietnam following the latest agreement for this project.
